Acción Médica Cristiana, La Dalia, Nicaragua
Photos from my visit to Nicaragua in July of 2011. I was visiting villages in the mountains in North-West Nicaragua in the department of Matagalpa, where Acción Médica Cristiana works to empower women and improve lives through small savings groups, a cow-bank program, health clinics, and other strategies. Migrant Head Start Program, Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House
The Migrant Head Start Program at Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House (East St. Louis, IL) provides a place where children learn and are nurtured. Like the program, the audio is in English and Spanish, with onscreen subtitles.
