Shiitake Plugs

On Sunday, Rob and I moved large oak logs, and drilled 1000 holes in them.  Monday, Kurt, Rob, and I put inoculated shiitake plugs into the holes and sealed them with wax.  Now the logs are stacked behind the house, where they will sit for about nine months, while they are inoculated with the shiitake mycelium. Once they are inoculated, I will initiate fruiting, and start harvesting Shiitake mushrooms.
