Cacti with snow
I was at my mom’s house, and just after it snowed I went outside with my camera to photograph the cactus in the snow – I love the conceptual contrast – something that conjures the idea of heat (the cactus) covered in cold snow.

Plum Blossom and Bee
I took this on a beautiful, sunny Thursday afternoon before starting work on my mom’s three-year retreat site in the orchard at Diamond Mountain in Arizona. The tree was covered with buzzing bees – it seemed like an entire hive.
